Dear Family Mum and Dad,
You are not alone in your search. There are many like you who are so tired that all the pots and garden furniture is flying around when there's a strong wind. And don't even get me started on parasols, cantilevers and drying racks being blown over in the wind.
You know what I'm talking about, because you've probably held on to your parasol in a gust of wind so it didn't blow over.
You've tried to keep the drying rack stable with random stones.
And you've come home in despair after a storm, with garden furniture and pots all over the garden.
Or you have a cantilever that is never quite stable enough for the slightest gust of wind.
If anything like this sounds familar to you then Baser sandbags are sure to be a hit.
There are around 62,204 Baser sandbags in use around the world as extra weight for parasols or to support garden furniture, drying racks, pool covers, you name it - completely stable.
When Grandpa Arne invented the best parasol base using sandbags, we didn't realise that sandbags could be used in so many other ways.
They are used and loved everywhere because they are durable, retain their colour, are easy to fill and keep your stuff in place with style.
We see most people using our sandbags for these purposes:
As extra weight for the parasol to keep it stable.
To add weight to a cantilever parasol.
To keep the drying rack stable in the wind.
To protect garden furniture during autumn and winter storms.
This is far from a complete list, and I'm sure you can think of other places where a Baser sandbag can provide stability.
So say hello to the Baser sandbag which comes in half round and straight.

What...It's just sandbag? You might think you can buy some at half the price somewhere else
We are always honest at Baser - so yes, a Bases sandbag is more expensive than many of our competitors.
Out there you can find round or square sandbags or even plastic containers you fill with water or sand.
The flooding sandbags are also cheaper, but they're designed for... flooding.
So it's a bit like comparing oranges and apples.
Or actually, it's comparing cheap nylon fabric and thin plastic to a quality outdoor fabric that's colourfast, sewn with some of the strongest thread in the world, and designed in a stylish Scandinavian design.
I won't even go into the design of the cheap sandbags. Let's just say they're practical and I think that's about it.
And yes, don't get me started on those plastic plates that you fill with water or sand, which are already leaking before the season has even started, or which have such a small opening that it takes the better part of July to fill them.
and by the time you get to August, well then it's just not quite stable enough.
Or those expensive granite tiles you put on top of your cantilever that are sure to pinch one of your fingers and can't be moved once they're down.
It's up to you what you want in your garden...
Because that's right. We solve the same problem in the same way... almost.
And now it's 100% up to you. I've told you about the apples and oranges, so take your pick.
There's a reason why Baser sandbags are the Danes' favourite.
And don't worry, I've got your back. I mean it, I'm here to help.
Firstly, you don't have to deal with sand in the zips, or fabric that pretends to be good, and I don't know about you, but they really don't have a lot of design in China.
And let's not forget about our amazing guarantee - if you're not completely satisfied with your Baser sandbags, we'll buy them back from you.
Yes, we will buy your Baser sandbags back and yes, I will pay for the return postage if you don't think the Baser sandbags are of the quality and stability you want.
You can read the full guarantee below. And if you have a problem, write to Christian(@)mybaser.com and we'll sort it out together.
But I'm pretty sure you won't send your Baser sandbags back, because very few people do. Just look at them here:
If you still dont' believe me then I found some of our customers who say it better than I do
Feel free to read the reviews here and many others on Trustpilot or Amazon
I use the sandbags for extra stability on my granite base! It makes it so much more stable
They're not cheap, but they're of a quality you can't get anywhere else. The cantilever parasol is now stable too!
Both our trampoline and the parasols in the garden went for a fly. They don't do that anymore! And you can really feel the fabric is of high quality!
Our wind shield was never stable in the granite parasol base. 2 base sandbags and boom! Stable, what more could you ask for!
If you want to avoid slamming doors in the summer, this sandbag is brilliant. Nice and heavy, and as a bonus, the second one holds the drying rack!
I use the sandbags for extra stability on my granite base! It makes it so much more stable
Now I think you'll be convinced. At least enough to let me explain the Baser Sandbags in more detail.
Forget about unstable parasols, trampolines, drying racks or cantilever parasols. Baser's elegant sandbags give you unshakeable stability.
Yes, we've all been there.
Sitting with one foot on the granite block and the other hand preventing the parasol from flying away.
Enjoying the summer heat while your parasol is about to be blown away by a sudden gust of wind.
This is what most people complain about with traditional parasol bases and cantilever parasol stands - they're not stable enough...
You know, when the clean laundry is knocked over or the trampoline is not in the same place after a little autumn storm.
So we've hit the nail on the head with stability, in an elegant, smart and incredibly durable way😉
Are the sandbags really as good as you say they are?
I totally agree with you. We solve the same problem as other weight bags or plastic containers do just without their problems.
And our reviews also suggest that the Baser sandbags are pretty slick and a quality product.
At least it solves the problem of providing super stability to 4.8 stars and that's not entirely bad out of 5.
It's just a bag... I just use the cheap ones
I have also used that solution.
The half-solved solution.
That kind of solution is just not good, it's not very nice and it doesn't last. And it's not very sustainable.
Baser sandbags are made from an incredibly strong outdoor fabric and thread from COATS that lasts.
Sewn with precision in Poland, so they last year after year.
And yes, we've designed the sandbag to look good too.
Just go search for "weight for cantilever". They're often huge and clumsy, impossible to fill with sand and not quite stable enough.
We have challenged that convention.
The Baser sandbags 4x25kg are easily filled with sand and gets your cantilever the stability you need.
And hey bonus - as you can see, kids love to play on the sandbags, they don't hurt their feet and they're easy to clean😉
Back to the sandbags... can they take it?
The only way I can tell you how much you can trust in our fabrics and sandbags is to take you on a journey.
We visited and sampled the 16 biggest and best fabric manufacturers in the world.
One by one they were eliminated and most of them said that our requirements for strength, colour fastness, water repellency, dirt resistance and being outdoors 365 days a year and still having a great fabric was... IMPOSSIBLE.
We were about to accept half defeat and use a half-pint polyester fabric with a maximum 3 year guarantee on the colour.
But then we found our supplier in Spain.
They produce a superior outdoor fabric that comes as close to our requirements as possible. The fabric is ÖKO-tex certified and solution dyed through so that it retains its colour year after year.
It is coated with a special technology to make it water and dirt repellent.
And it's all made with solar energy from ther own solar panels and green electricity.
So when I say we stand behind our quality, I stand behind it 100%. Any problem, we'll fix it.
OK, I'm in! Cheap china products are not the wisest choice and sandbags are pretty cool and good looking.
Let's sum up what makes Baser sandbags unique.
Well, generally speaking, it makes your cantilever, parasol, drying rack or birdhouse incredibly stable (yes, there are Baser sandbags on a birdhouse somewhere in Scotland). The result is that you get great summer vibes and don't have to worry about the drying rack tipping over or the table and chairs flying away in a sudden summer gust.
Baser sandbags fit almost anywhere. They are available in straight and round versions.
At the same time, we make them as sustainable as possible by choosing the best suppliers and manufacturing them as close to you as possible.
So if you can see yourself in any of the pictures below.
Or if you are just tired of other bad sandbagging or patchwork solutions.
Then you'll probably want to watch my video below where I show you which Baser sandbags to choose, so you get exactly the ones you need.
And you'll avoid wasting money on cheap Chinese products.
So which Baser sandbags are right for me?
We recommend 80 KG for a 2.8 m cantilever. 100 KG for a 3 meter cantilever. Is your cantilever bigger, then we recommend that you use more than 100 KG.
Yes we do! Yes is the answer.
It all started with a parasol base. And we still have it. You can find it here.
Here's a little overview:
Each sandbag is indicated in kilograms and this corresponds to the maximum weight that can be placed in the sandbag.
This means: 1 piece of 15 KG sandbag can be filled with a maximum of 15 KG, etc.
Yes! We always have at least 1 free delivery option. Often it is to the nearest parcel shop.
With our 60 day return policy, you can use your sandbags and if there are any problems that we can't work out together, we'll buy them back and pay for the postage. This means you can choose Baser sandbags completely risk free and remember this only applies to products purchased from mybaser.co.uk. The sandbags can only be returned if they have been emptied of sand.
Sandbags or Weightbags for your garden accessories
Weight bags for your outdoor furniture
Heavy-duty sandbags are great for keeping items secure and stable outdoors. Fill the bags and use them to keep your drying rack from falling over or your parasol from floating away. Baser sandbags come in two shapes, straight or curved. Our contemporary designs solve practical issues with style.
Weight bags for parasols
Baser fillable sandbags are great for improving the stability of your parasol bases, even against strong gusts of wind. One bag can hold up to 25 kg of sand or other weight and is easy to carry and position with its sturdy handle.
For a 2.7- or 3-metre parasol, we suggest at least two 20- or 25-kg parasol weight bags filled with sand. They’ll keep your parasol from tipping over or drifting away in the wind. Baser’s sandbags are made from 190-g solution-dyed olefin fabric, which is durable and resists fading, perfect for the outdoors.
For even better support for your outdoor parasol, we recommend the Baser parasol base, and for smaller parasols the Baser half-parasol base.
Sandbags as weight for cantilever parasols
You can also use our sandbags to stabilize your cantilever or offset parasol. With these bags you can add up to 100 kg and keep your cantilever where it belongs. The Baser weight bag comes in two shapes, curved or straight, to fit neatly around the base of your cantilever and nicely on any terrace. Of course, traditional weight plates for a parasol base work fine on top of a cantilever cross. But sandbags are easier to carry and position, so you get a base that you can love for years. For a 3- or 3.4-metre cantilever parasol, you’ll need a heavy-duty cantilever parasol base. We recommend four 25-kg parasol weight bags filled with sand.
Weight bags for trampolines
Trampolines are great fun, but you want to make sure they don’t bounce away. Baser sandbags work well for trampolines, giving them the additional weight they need to stay secure. Baser weight bags are durable and can rest on any surface, from grass to gravel and stone. For a regular trampoline, we recommend our Baser four-pack of 25-kg sandbags, which will add 100 kg. If you live in a windy area, we recommend additional sandbags, up to 200 kg.
Sandbags for drying racks
Air drying your freshly washed fabrics is great for the environment but a pain if a stray breeze scatters them across the lawn. Keep your laundry clean by adding a weight bag to your drying rack. A Baser sandbag is sturdy yet easy to move around. We recommend 15- or 20-kg weight bags to keep a drying rack upright. Sandbags are more convenient than concrete slabs.
Earth-friendly low-CO2 weight bags from Baser
We make Baser sandbags using 100% renewable energy and the least amount of water possible. Our weight bags are made of durable 190-g solution-dyed olefin fabric with a Teflon coating that keeps them looking good year after year. The sandbag also has a sturdy (sewn with COATS© Dabond thread) handle attached so you can move it easily every season.
